Milwaukee Public Theatre

Milwaukee Public Theatre (MPT) is one of the area's few professional nonprofit outreach theatre companies.

MPT creates highly acclaimed original theatreworks about contemporary social issues for all ages. A retelling of "Hansel and Gretel", focusing on a healthy diet and fitness activities, is our summer 2014 production.

MPT has an emphasis on healing arts and wellness programming. We present workshops for all ages and abilities, and present annual "Tap the Potential" arts events.

We design workshops and arts residencies featuring artists from many cultures and arts disciplines, particularly at MPS, CLC, CBOs, Boys & Girls Clubs and other organizations.

We create special, custom and private events with superb quality, skilled artists, and unique themes to meet your business needs.

We are committed to cultivating community through public arts events, such as Latino Carnaval, National Night Out, the artery project, and other summer festivals.

We share a multi-use space in downtown Milwaukee's Shops of Grand Avenue with the Milwaukee Mask and Puppet Theatre.
