Milwaukee Public Theatre (MPT) is one of the area's few professional nonprofit outreach theatre companies.

MPT creates highly acclaimed original theatreworks about contemporary social issues for all ages."Out to Lunch" was a summer, 2013 comedy about urban gardening and healthy eating. In 2014 we will present a retelling of "Hansel and Gretel", focusing on a healthy diet and fitness activities.

MPT has an emphasis on healing arts and wellness programming. We create touring shows and workshops for children, youth, families and seniors, and present annual "Tap the Potential" arts events.

We design workshops and arts residencies featuring artists from many cultures and arts disciplines, tailored for all ages and abilities, particularly at in-school or after-school locations.

We create special, custom and private events with superb quality, skilled artists, and unique themes to meet your needs.

We are committed to cultivating community through public arts events, such as Summer of Peace, Latino Carnaval and summer festivals.

We operate The Artivity Place, a multi-use space in downtown Milwaukee's Shops of Grand Avenue.
